Flight 216 – Cozy Airplane Sleep Story Script
Let your imagination flow as I take you on your sleep story.
Tonight’s story is a special story because, well, it’s a story made by you. Tonight, I’m going to invite you to use your imagination while I become your guide on your very own dream flight.
I’ll make suggestions and paint the pictures, but this flight is yours. One small thing, it’s advisable for coziness purposes that you make the destination a very long way away, at least an 8-hour flight.
You are sitting in a busy international airport. Like most airports, it’s filled with people going everywhere, all over the world. And tonight, you are going wherever you want to go to.
So take a moment now, decide where do you want to go to. Perhaps it’s a place that you have been to before. Maybe it’s an exotic place, a very warm and tropical place, with turquoise seas and white sandy beaches.
Or maybe it’s a beautiful, rainy, cold place. Or it’s a snowy place where you can go skiing or snowboarding or swim in freezing lakes. Whatever the place, it doesn’t matter. It just needs to be a place that you really want to go to.
A place you may have visited before, or you just wish you could. Soon, you will board your flight. If you like, you can have someone with you, someone that means a lot to you. Even your pet.
Or you can be completely alone, escaping everything that you know, for as long as you want to. Remember, you write the story. Your plane is nearly ready for boarding.
You are sitting in the terminal, looking out on the runway. You watch giant planes take off, and sit in joyful anticipation of your own plane taking off.
Perhaps the thought strikes you of just how remarkable it is that humankind can put these giant metal objects into the sky and fly you across oceans and continents.
When humans work together, we are extraordinary. Eventually, you are called to board. And as you board the plane, instead of going to the right, which you might be used to, or not, you go to the left.
Yes, I forgot to mention, for this beautiful flight, you are flying first class. In fact, you have your own bedroom. You are flying aboard the world’s biggest passenger plane, the A380, with one of the world’s best airlines.
And as you are greeted by smiling staff, you feel immediately comfortable and welcome. And above all, extremely safe.
You are shown around your private quarters. There’s a white screen TV, a little sofa, a very, very luxurious double bed, a shower, and the best bit, the bit that everyone gets, unless you’re in the aisle seat, is a window.
A window onto the world outside. You are brought a drink of your favorite drink, whatever that may be. And then you settle in to your luxurious and ever so cozy surroundings.
After all the normal procedures are gone through, it isn’t long before the giant of the skies that you are in takes off. As you rise up higher and higher, you see your home place beneath you.
You see everything that you know slowly disappear from sight. And as this great plane moves further and further, higher and higher into the sky, you feel a gentle letting go.
You don’t need to do anything now. You don’t need to be anywhere. You are going on the vacation of your dreams for as long as you want to. And every care and whim that you want to be satisfied will be.
Now you have risen above the clouds. You see the beautiful landscape, almost mountain-like, of the giant clouds beneath the plane. It’s like looking down on another planet.
What do you want to do now, here in your own private quarters? If you like, you can sit back on the very comfortable seat and flick through the movie selection.
Perhaps your favorite movie of all time is there. The one you like to watch over and over. Or maybe there’s a series that you want to binge.
It’s your call. This is your dream flight. Allow a sense of gratitude to be present, a sense of appreciation for this moment. And feel gratitude now as well, for all of the good things in your life.
Allow this gratitude to bring about an even deeper sense of calm as you breathe in and out, in and out, in and out. Maybe instead of watching the giant TV, you can sit back and enjoy the beautiful landscape.
You’ve opted to read your favorite book or a magazine, an interesting article perhaps that inspires curiosity within you. Whatever you are choosing to do in this moment, enjoy it.
Enjoy the lack of need to be anywhere, to answer to anyone.
Let go.
Let go of absolutely everything.
As you sit here, become mindful of the destination that you have chosen to go to tonight.
Is it a place you know?
Or is it a place you’ve always wanted to visit?
What does it do to you when you think of this place?
See it in your mind’s eye.
Feel the atmosphere.
Hear the sounds.
Breathe the air.
Feel that familiar feeling of being somewhere new or somewhere you want to explore.
Feel that feeling of curiosity.
Perhaps it reminds you of times gone by.
Perhaps some of the greatest moments of your life.
Whatever this place does to you, just enjoy that for a moment now. reach now.
Now, one of the friendly staff comes to your cabin and brings you your first meal of the flight.
This meal is your favorite breakfast.
Whatever you want it to be, here it is.
Enjoy the flavors of the food, the nourishment.
And perhaps, while you eat, you continue to enjoy your big screen TV, or your book, or indeed, the greatest show on earth, the view through your window.
Enjoy the view through your window.
Enjoy the view through your window.
After eating, you become a little sleepy and decide it’s time for a little nap.
What better moment than now to try out your beautiful bed on this great aircraft.
As you lie down on the bed, the thought perhaps comes to you how remarkable this is, that you can sleep while traveling at 600 miles per hour, flying at 38,000 feet.
How amazing are the achievements of humankind.
You sink into the luxurious Egyptian cotton covered pillows, and there is a scent of lavender here that only adds to this deep sense of serenity.
The sound of the plane is calming in itself.
It is constant and unchanging.
And eventually your eyes become heavy and you fall into a very restful sleep.

After your nap, one of the staff suggests that you should come to the spa.
Where you will be given a very relaxing massage.
Only if you wish to, that is.
If you agree to this, then enjoy this other human being gently pressing into your skin and muscles.
And with every stroke, bringing you deeper and deeper into a place of peace.
Enjoy the loosening out of any and all tension in your feet, your legs, your abdomen, your chest.
Your arms, your hands, your neck, your face and your scalp.
Relax.
Relax.
Relax.
Now you go back to your cabin.
You are brought another refreshing drink.
And you are brought your evening meal.
This, yet again, is your favorite food.
And while you enjoy this delicious food, you take in the remarkable view outside.
You are flying over your favorite type of scenery.
Whether that be snow-capped mountains or Caribbean islands with turquoise waters or sandy desert.
Whatever is below you, what is in front of you is astounding.
Our nearest star, the sun, is slowly falling behind the horizon.
And from up here, it is like no other sunset that you have ever seen.
You can see the curve of the earth and the warm pinks and oranges bring comfort and peace and a sense of groundedness to your whole being.
Soon the sun has gone.
And the sky gets darker and darker.
And the first stars of the night sky become clear to you.
Perhaps from up here, you are offered perspective and a deeper understanding of your place on this planet that we call home.
Perhaps everything that normally feels so important is less important now.
And you feel released from everything. and sink into a restful sleep.
